Finding Order in Chaos

Everything went south for me since the last time I wrote here. Not everything, but most of the things I was doing. The workouts are no longer the way they once were. The diet is broken. The journey is in a chaotic state, to say the least.

I tried developing a system to follow, but creating its modules wasn’t easy. I realized I am a routine kind of guy. I need things to be in place to do them. I need order, scheduling, and time allocation for everything I do.

The Workout Struggle

Since the last time, I’ve tried different times for my workout. I’m still not at the level I reached when I worked out early in the morning. However, with the hot weather we’re experiencing this time of year, I can’t work out early in the morning.

Additionally, I fast every other day, which makes it very hard to sustain my workouts with the high temperatures we’re facing. I’ve noticed a significant drop in my energy levels and performance due to this.

Fasting: A Beacon of Control

If there’s anything I have under control, at least in my opinion, it’s fasting. With some help from God and some willpower, I’ve been fasting every other day for three months now. It’s a huge boost to my health and lifestyle. It lifts my feeling of control and discipline, and it’s something that keeps me grounded amidst the chaos.

Diet Challenges

Due to our financial situation, we eat what we have. The diet has turned into bread and other unhealthy stuff. We mostly eat traditional dishes, most of which are based on flour and semolina. This has impacted my overall health and energy levels, making it harder to maintain my workout routine.

Life’s Rollercoaster

My life has been a rollercoaster of events. We’re still holding together as a family and have never been happier. It’s God’s grace, to say the least. We’re striving to change our situation for a better life. We’ve learned so much from this experience and feel growth in our personality and way of thinking. My wife and I used to get angry with each other when things happened, but now we laugh it out. This has strengthened our bond and helped us face challenges together.

In Conclusion

Life is short. When things are going the way you want them to, they go fast. Try to live the life you want, not what the chain of events forces on you. Like I was discussing with my brother the other day: I was working on a gig for somebody and got frustrated with the amount of changes he requested last week. I even swore that working for others is like slavery, even as a freelancer. My brother stopped me and said, “Everything is slavery. To cut loose and be free, you have to become insane.” He mentioned examples from our life, like a mechanic who became insane due to a genetic illness. He lives without caring about anything in life. Another guy, who people see as insane, lives with no worries. He says whatever he wants, and most people agree with him, but he’s considered insane because he doesn’t care about the consequences of his words.

Anyway, we will make it eventually and die one day. Until the next post, keep striving and stay strong.
